INFO:James is a former centre back and side back. He spent the majority of his career in Sudan at Al-Tahrir from 1965 to 1975 and captained the team. He then transferred to Emirati team Abu Dhabi SC (later Al Wahda) where he retired in 1979. A member of Sudan national team in the late 1960s and early 1970s, he won the 1970 African Cup of Nations and reportedly capped 75 times.
One of Sudan's most prominent players during the country's golden era, James was a solid centre back known for his excellent defensive abilities. He was the rock of the back-line and his versatility that allowed him to cover all defensive positions was a key factor in Sudan's 1970 African Cup win. In fact, he was deployed on the right side in certain situations of emergency when the starting right-back suffering an injury after a collision. Showing effort and outstanding commitment throughout his entire career, he apparently never missed a match for Sudan as long as his national team career lasted.
