INFO:Haggui is a former centre-back who could also play as right-back. His career started in 2003 at Étoile du Sahel. He transferred to Strasbourg one year later and played 52 matches in two seasons, scoring 3 goals. He signed for Bayer Leverkusen in 2006, spending three years, making 83 appearances and scoring 5 goals. He then had his longest spell at Hannove 96 where he played 132 games from 2009 to 2013, scoring 8 goals. He retired in 2018 following experiences with Stuttgart, Fortuna Düsseldorf and St. Gallen. He capped for Tunisia 82 times, scoring 5 goals and winning the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations.
Haggui was a tall and strong defender, gifted with excellent man marking ability and positional sense, always in the right place to anticipate his opponent by tackling the ball or sweeping it away with his feet or a header. He possessed decent long passing skill and technique in defending the ball. Understandably, he wasn't agile or particularly fast on the ball. His height and ability in the air though allowed him to score over 20 headers. While his main position was centre-back, he was deployed as right-back occasionally, especially with the national team that he also captained numerous times.
