Is there any specific reason why Houseman and Stabile are listed as corner takers here and not Brindisi and Babington? Btw, since Larrosa isn't in the best XI, there's no need to list him as penalty taker. In case you need a third PK taker, you could add Babington there who was an excellent PK taker (at least while playing in Germany)..

Stabile didn't play as SS as far as i know...Only as 9 and 'puntero' (winger).
No really a problem with Houseman and Stabile as corner takers, is was very common back then the wingers took the corners regardless of their crossing skills (though they can be second choices behind Babington) :^) .

Houseman take all the corners when he was playing with Babington and Brindisi back in the 70's. I've added those players into the set piece takers. Yep, but Babington start to take penalties in Huracan in his second era, so i've added.

So what? This is an all star team and no era team. I honestly don't understand why a player that probably never took a corner from the left side of the field is listed as first corner taker here. None of you guys can tell me that you're actually using those corner takers ingame. The set piece-takers should be the best players available and that are Brindisi and Babington..

Ok, but for some reason Houseman take those corners over Brindisi and Babington, Tbh i constantly switch the piece takers meanwhile i'm playing.

Gastón Casas, who is listed as a defender in reserves, played as forward or attacking midfielder. Thanks for the work.
Greetings.

I suggest some small changes to this team to update it: I don't understand the inclusion of Cantú and Giménez. Giménez played around 10-15 games per season in the four seasons he spent at Huracán, firstly as a center-back and later as a right-half: he doesn't deserve to be named in the first team, let alone in the best XI. Cantú, while more deserving, is shadowed by many other more important defenders in Huracán's history. While his 193 games in 6 seasons might be impressive, he wasn't even a first option in Huracán's 1973 Torneo Metropolitano winning team - those were Basile and Buglione. My suggestion is to change those two for Alfio Basile and Rodolfo Graieb. I also think it would be more fitting to add Juan Manuel Filgueiras to the first team over Pedro Barrios, who can still go to the reserves. The midfield is almost perfect. I would just switch Emilio Baldonedo to the forwards' section and add Sebastián Viberti, who is alongside Coco Rossi their best defensive midfielder ever. The team has 22 players instead of 23 so I think this would be the better change. Since I believe the reserve section is lacking some names, I would like to mention the following: Marcos Díaz, Héctor Roganti, Juan Fernando Pratto, Carlos Nóbile, Alberto Fanesi, Carlos Leone, Gastón Casas (who as nicoferrari said, was a forward/attacking midfielder, not a defender), Ramón Vázquez, Claudio García, Antonio Barijho and Juan Carlos Salvini. The other players TheGreatRossonero put on reserves are okay, they all deserve a spot in the team. And last: this might be a controversial take, but I believe Stábile doesn't fit in the team's Best XI. Despite his massive legendary status at the club, his position on the field is extremely well covered by Herminio Masantonio. The current Best XI has him as a second forward when he never played in that position neither for the club nor the National Team, and if you decided to put him at RW (which definitely wasn't his best position) there's already René Houseman. And while Houseman can play winger on both sides of the pitch, if you were to change Houseman's preferred RW position to LW, it would be more fitting to have Méndez as a right inside forward: you can't take Masantonio out for Stábile and if you are going to switch Houseman's side, it would be better to have a player whose preferred position is actually on the right side. My formation looks something like this: GK BALEY CB ALBERTI CB BUGLIONE RB CHABAY LB CARRASCOSA DMF ROSSI AMF BRINDISI © AMF BABINGTON LWF HOUSEMAN SS MÉNDEZ CF MASANTONIOCaptain: Miguel Ángel Brindisi Short Free Kick: Carlos Babington | Miguel Ángel Brindisi Long Free Kick: Carlos Babington Free Kick 2: Miguel Ángel Brindisi | Carlos Babington Left Corner: Carlos Babington | Miguel Ángel Brindisi Right Corner: René Houseman Penalty: Herminio Masantonio | Miguel Ángel Brindisi | Carlos Babington Players to go up on free kicks and corners: Jorge Alberti The set piece takers are those of Huracán's historical 1973 season except from the left corner, that was taken by Omar Larrosa who is not on (my) Best XI.

A typical GreatRossonero AS team. He seems to include as few players as possible, ignoring parts of the history of a team. You can also tell by the poor number of reserves.

Not that there's a lot of history he can ignore for this team in particular though. The 1973 squad should be at least 50% of the whole team.
