INFO:Roy Aitken is a former Celtic legend, he has the 4th most appearances in club history with 682 games. Aitken played 15 years for Celtic and is best remembered for captaining the club to the league title in the centenary year of 1988. He was captain of both Celtic and Scotland in the late 80s. Aitken was a powerful player equally comfortable in defence or midfield, always happy to join the attack and lead his team forward. He would sometimes switch positions during games too, like the 1985 Scottish Cup final where he moved into midfield and totally turned the game around to come back from 0-1 and win the trophy. He had huge determination and could always be seen leading by example and fighting until the very end. He was a good goalscorer too and strong in the air, and could even send some nice passes forward. Although his first touch was sometimes heavy and he wasn't very agile which is probably why he didn't become a full time midfielder.
