INFO:

Kuzorra, Walter, Seeler, Beckenbauer will most German experts answer on question who were the best German footballers. Ernst was brillant playmaker and scorer, but not only that: Kuzorra was always making Schalke's starting XI although they had a coach of course like the all other teams. I think this says all about Ernst Kuzorra. He played mainly as inside left and was most remembered for his fantastic dribbling skills. Besides he was excellent scorer, he scored 265 goals in 350 official games for Schalke and unofficialy the number reaches 1000 goals counting all the friendlies, including record 14 goals scored in single game. Ernst was in excellent condition, played till the age of 45, had great vision and sense of positioning, very good passing with great curle on the ball, very strong shot with his left foot and was hardworking player like the real captain he's been on the pitch. Kuzorra, son of originating from East Prussia miner Karl Kuzorra and his wife Bertha, worked after his schooling, first at the Zeche Consolidation, until he was in the mid-20s very focused on football. 1926 went to the club in the then highest West German league. A year later managed "Clemens," as his comrades called Kuzorra the leap into the national team and played in the 2-2 against the Netherlands on the left half position. In 1928, the striker at the Amsterdam Olympic Games was there, but was not used. 1930 his international career was cut short due to a barrier against the Schalke players (due to illegal gratuities) for one year. Kuzorra had time to play for 1,000 marks a month as a professional in Vienna, but was loyal to Schalke. 1930 Kuzorra made by two international matches in Germany a name: the 5-0, he headed over to Switzerland with three goals. The subsequent sensational 3-3 in the "mother country" of the game against England was for him one of the defining events of his international career. The "Schalke era" began in 1933 when the club first reached a final of the German championship, but with 0-3 against Fortuna Dusseldorf subject. A year later succeeded the "Royal Blues" is a 3-1 favorite against 1 FC Nuremberg. In this meeting held by Kuzorra despite a hernia, scored just before the final whistle Schalke winner, broke down and became a living legend. In the next ten years chasing the other a success: in 1935 German champion, 1937 champion and cup winner (first winner of the "doubles"), 1939 champion for the fourth time by a 9-0 over the SK Admira Wien. A year earlier, had contested against Hungary Kuzorra his twelfth and final international game (seven goals). Other missions in the DFB jersey empire prevented coach Otto Mink, who bluntly Kuzorras way to say his opinion, could not manage. The Schalke's success, the "gyro" (accuracy, quick, short passing game), put the enemy even at the championship games in 1940 and 1942 with unsolvable problems. Dresdner SC defeated with 1-0, a year later with Schalke lost 3-4 against SK Rapid Wien. Schalke's sixth title at Vienna Vienna drew 0-2 in 1942 with the short straw. 1935/36 Kuzorra trained today rivals Schalke Borussia Dortmund. He, representing the first official professional trainer Fritz Thelen, also a former player of FC Schalke 04 At that time there was the current rivalry between the two clubs have not even had Kuzorra and kinship and friendship ties in the Dortmunder Borsigplatz quarter. Both Kuzorra, the equally gifted players such good fighters, as well as his team-mate and brother Fritz had Szepan mid 40s exceeded the peak of their abilities. They helped to end World War II still in the rebuilding of the Schalke team in the West German league. Kuzorra was still active until the end of 1948 and took two years later together with his brother-Szepan with a match against Atletico Mineiro in the Schalke Glückaufkampfbahn officially farewell. On 19 April 1971 was quoted in the WAZ Kuzorra with the criticism that was Schalke's 0-1 on the previous Saturday against Arminia Bielefeld, a "weak Schalke's performance" and also "no 18 DM for the grandstand ticket worth" was. It later emerged that had just been "purchased" this score for $ 100,000 bribe, a key event in the Bundesliga so-called scandal. In 1985, Ernst Kuzorra made an honorary citizen of Gelsenkirchen. He died on New Year's Day 1990 in Gelsenkirchen with 84 years of age.
