The topic has been brought on for a while. Therefore, I open a thread to post some practical examples since making stats for all the sets would take an immense amount of time. The sets are based off KONAMI originals. More details are included at the end of each post. I hope this helps.

I came to conclusions after analysing a fair number of goalkeepers from various PES games.

● The Ball Winning attribute introduced in PES 2014 doesn't work like the old Response for goalkeepers. It's rarely high for goalkeepers and it's usually lower than Defensive Prowess.
The highest Ball Winning a goalkeeper has in PES 2014 is 46. Things changed in PES 2015 as many goalkeepers have a high value, although most of them seem random and probably a mistake by KONAMI.
In Pes 2016 though over 1300 goalkeepers have a value between 40 and 60, more than 100 have it between 61 and 78, and only Manuel Neuer has 89.
The ability is more balanced since PES 2017 as the maximum is 74 and only twelve, including Neuer, have it in PES 2017. However, I pretty much believe that most goalkeepers were mistakenly given a high value. Neuer has 41 in PES 2018 and 2019, 51 in PES 2020, 52 in PES 2021, while many random goalkeepers still have a high value (max 74 until PES 2020, 71 in PES 2021).
In conclusion, I'd always rate Defensive Awareness higher than Ball Winning regardless of what Ball Winning value you decide to give a goalkeeper.

● The Goalkeeping and Saving attributes introduced in PES 2014 replaced the old Response and Goalkeeping Skills attributes respectively.

● The Body Control/Balance attribute introduced in PES 2017 helps a player maintaining the balance while avoiding tackles. Oddly enough, KONAMI gave higher values to random goalkeepers in comparison to the likes of Neuer and Ederson who are way more technically gifted. In my opinion, only goalkeepers like them deserve a Body Control/Balance value in the 70 area but not higher than 74.

● KONAMI introduced more key attributes for goalkeepers in PES 2016.
- Goalkeeping/GK Awareness is the keeper's ability to judge the situation and act in accordance. It can be compared to the old Defence.
- GK Catching is the keeper's ability to catch shots, even powerful ones. It can compared to the old Goalkeeping Skills.
- GK Reflexes determines how quickly a goalkeeper reacts. It can easily be compared to the old Response.
- GK Clearing is a more specific stat. It indicates how good a goalkeeper is at pushing the ball away to safe areas. Its meaning is between GK Awareness and GK Catching, although it seems closer to the latter. The value can be an average of Defence and Goalkeeping Skills unless a goalkeeper was specifically good or bad at clearing.
- Coverage/GK Reach determines how much goal the goalkeeper is able to cover when he reacts. Its meaning is between GK Awareness and GK Reflexes, although it seems closer to GK Awareness. The value can be an average of Defence and Response unless the goalkeeper was specifically good or bad at covering his goal.

● The Attack attribute that became Attacking Prowess in PES 2014 and Offensive Awareness in PES 2020 originally could go below 40 but no real goalkeeper had a value lower than 30. Since 40 became the minimum value, this attribute had to be adjusted. Considering only real goalkeepers, the equivalences are as following:
30 -> 40-41
31 -> 42-43
32-33 -> 44-45
34-35 -> 46
36-37 -> 47-48
38-44 -> 49
45-49 -> 50
50-51 -> 51-52

● In general, the attributes Dribbling Accuracy, Short Pass Accuracy, Long Pass Accuracy, Shot Accuracy, Free Kick Accuracy and Swerve didn't get changes. No real goalkeeper used to have a value lower than 40 for any of these attributes and the minimum was rarely below 44. Therefore, KONAMI seemingly kept the same values in more recent games as well. Only certain more or less famous goalkeepers received boosts in these attributes, mostly since PES 2020.

● The Heading attribute received a huge boost for goalkeepers, in some cases from PES 2015, otherwise from more recent games. In general, the boost is of about 15-20 points.

● The Technique/Ball Control attribute seems generally much higher for goalkeepers since PES 2015. Especially goalkeepers who had a value below 50 in old gen games often received a boost of at least 10 points in new games. The goalkeepers who used to have 50 or more either kept the same value or got a very small boost.

I have to make a correction regarding Explosive Power and Body Control.
Milos made me notice that Explosive Power is probably related to Agilty rather than Acceleration. After checking Batistuta, Vieira and Sergio Ramos I noticed their Agility
from PES 2011 corresponds to Explosive Power from PES 2013. However, it looks to me that for goalkeepers Explosive Power is more similar to Acceleration.
Therefore, Body Control isn't Agility but simply a value that's high for good dribblers who have low Physical Contact.

I've found that your system for Goalkeepers Attacking Prowess also works for calculating Defensive Prowess for Forwards and Wingers who have old defence below 40. Then balancing old response with it for Ball Winning makes a very accurate rating IMO

It would make sense but DEF and BW might work with forwards differently from how DEF and RES did in the past. I take some Konami sets as examples.

PES 5
Thierry Henry: DEF 33, RES 87
Michael Owen: DEF 35, RES 91
Ronaldo: DEF 32, RES 86
Andriy Shevchenko: DEF 42, RES 90

PES 2017
Thierry Henry: DEF 40, BW 66
Michael Owen: DEF 46, BW 41 (also PES 2020 and 2021)
Ronaldo: DEF 45, BW 46 (also PES 2020 and 2021)
Andriy Shevchenko: DEF 51, BW 48 (also PES 2020 and 2021)

Konami stats in PES 2017 are even different from how I convert old gen stats. Also, Thierry Henry DEF and BW are definitely unbalanced.

I must admit though that considering what you suggested their stats would be like this:
Thierry Henry: DEF 43, BW 47
Michael Owen: DEF 45, BW 41 or 51
Ronaldo: DEF 42, BW 46
Andriy Shevchenko: DEF 49, BW 50
Except Henry's BW that seems off, all players have similar DEF and BW value to the ones gave by Konami. I believe that your suggestion can be applied.
Maybe BW can differ by 10 points depending on the player or the user's personal choice. I'll add more info in the guide.

My Henry calculation is different from yours, his prime set on here has DEF 45, RES 86. "those who have a value between 45 and 49 get 50 or 51"

So Henry would be DEF 50 and BW 56 which is more similar to Konamis stats as you suggested. It may well be an incorrect assessment on my part, but I've tested quite a lot of forwards and so far it seems to be consistently accurate. Then as you also mentioned, it may be good to increase the BW stat if the forward has defensive tendencies such as Rooney or Thomas Müller.

EDIT - Ive realised you were calculating from Konamis stats not the ones from this website.

I did so because after all we must consider how the values can affect a player in game by checking Konami's stats. However, I can make the same examples out of our sets.

Thierry Henry (Arsenal set): DEF 50, BW 56
Michael Owen: DEF 40, BW 48
Ronaldo (Inter set): DEF 49, BW 50
Andriy Shevchenko (Milan set): DEF 49, BW 50

Honestly, most forwards originally would end up with Defensive Prowess 40 and too unbalanced with Ball Winning but it looks better this way. Therefore, thanks for the suggestion.

Hey mate, I have a question about Playing Styles. In case of Goal Poacher, for example, does the player need to have both cards (Scoring + Lines) or is only one card enough to be eligible as Goal Poacher?

I think it depends on the player. Goal Poacher is a good scorer who plays off the shoulders of the defenders. I'd give the player Scoring, plus Lines if he was also known for being effective on the lines or in beating the offside trap. At least that's how I see it.

Oh, i see. It's just that often the set cards don't always apply the players to a Playing Style in recent PES, so I try to improvise when I can. I put the P.S. Goal Poacher on prime Pelé, and he is a player who has Scoring but no Lines. In the end it seems more a matter of "it depends" really. Sometimes I put Enforcer for CBs with high Balance too, since before the Enforcer card didn't apply to them.

I think the Enforcer card applies for those aggressive players who tackle constantly their opponents without necessarily being accurate in tackling. In reality, that can be valid for defenders too and not just midfielders, but I don't think it works for defenders in game.

I don't know if this was already mentioned, but the PS2 and PSP versions of PES 2012, 2013 and 2014 still use the old stats systems, so you can use them to check some values that aren't available on the PS3/Xbox 360/PC versions, or maybe even make a direct comparison of players between the two versions to see which stats match with each other.

For anyone who needs help with determining Goalkeeper abilities in the PES2020/21 format:

Based upon the suggestions Interista already said, this isn't a definite rule but it helps if you're unsure of how good the player is at GK Catching or Clearing. Here is how I personally calculate the stats

GK Awareneness = Defence

GK Catching = Goalkeeper Skills

GK Clearing = I put the value that is the average between Defence & GK Skills. For example if the players defence is 95 and the GK Skill is 90 I will put a value of 92/93

GK Reflexes = Response

GK Reach = I use the average between Defence & Response. E.g. if defence is 95 and Response is 91 then I put 93

Obviously, if you have seen plenty footage of a player or you know them well then you can pick your own values, this is for a goalkeeper you're unsure of and just want an easy way to determine the stats

Thanks! This was useful. I digged a bit to find more descriptions of these stats. The conversion probably works as you say. What I noticed though is that while Clearing and GK Reach can be a mix of what you suggest, they sometimes have a value closer to one stat or the other. Of course there are exceptions.

To give some practical examples from PES 2021:
- Manuel Neuer has: 94 Awareness, 91 Catching, 93 Clearing, 97 Reflexes, 96 Reach. The average values theory fits perfectly.
- Ederson has: 93 Awareness, 95 Catching, 93 Clearing, 96 Reflexes, 94 Reach. The theory fits almost perfectly.
- Thibaut Courtois has: 93 Awareness, 92 Catching, 95 Clearing, 95 Reflexes, 95 Reach. The theory doesn't fit perfectly but is very close.
- Alex Meret has: 90 Awareness, 87 Catching, 91 Clearing, 94 Reflexes, 89 Reach. The theory fits less in comparison to the previous examples.

Anyways, your theory is solid. I updated the goalkeepers section at the beginning of the thread by implementing your suggestions.
