Attack MindedINFO:Demarchi was a centre forward who later became a defensive midfielder and centre back. He spent the majority of his careet at Casale, playing for the
Nerostellati in three different spells: from 1928 to 1934, between 1937 and 1939, in 1940-41. He scored 64 goals in 212 matches for the club. Most of the goals came in his very early career because from 1932 he began being less and less prolific and that convinced him to change position and become a defender. He played also for Pro Vercelli and Pistoiese.
Demarchi was a quite prolific striker who had a great tactical intelligence that made him capable to be often unmarked. He had decent technique and an excellent shooting ability. As defensive player he could use his technique and tactical sense in an even better way. From the reports, he seemed gifted with very good reaction and able to score accurate and beautiful goals with headers. He didn't seem much effective from easier or nearer positions. He sometimes took free kicks, from where he wasn't prolific but still managed to cause many troubles to the opposing goalkeepers. He probably didn't have great mentality because he suffered against big teams, while could be more efficient throughout the entire match against weaker clubs or when a top team didn't put enough effort. In a match against Pro Patria in 1932, he was tried as inside-forward and, while showing a decent short passing ability, he understandably wasn't as effective as he was as centre forward.
