For me the team is pretty accurate right now... The only two who can be replaced by Quincoces are Sergio Ramos (SB and CB in the golden years of Spanish NT history) or Hierro.
The thing about Jacinto Quincoces is: he was probably the best Spanish CB ever, but he only played 8 official matches with Spain

National team selection criterium should be: how much a player has been important for his national and how much good has been his performances. Wikipedia says Quincoces has 25 caps with national team I don't know how well he performed in this matches especially in WC'34 but for sure Hierro deserves to stay in first team maybe he could replace Sergio Ramos.
If everybody agree I'd remove Mata from reserves and move Iniesta to first team in place of Michel.

I'd personally replace Ramos with Quincoces and put Quincoces back in best XI Also I'd say that Pereda should replace Mata in reserves..

if you see below of the image, Gento is an alternative for Di Stéfano, just like Amancio for Raúl GK: Zamora/Casillas RB: Segarra/Sergio Ramos SW: Hierro CB: Puyol LB: Camacho/Gordillo DM: Pirri CM: Xavi/Iniesta AM/CM: Luis Suarez/Luis Enrique SS/RW: Raul/Amancio SS/LW: Di Stefano/Gento CF: Villa The thing is, which player you will sit instead of Gento? Di Stéfano? Raúl? They were much more important than Gento for the NT (I can't understand Spain, we always had great players, but we only had the luck to win since 2008 to 2012, at least all the titles except one Euro cup ) After thinking it too much, In my opinion the Best XI should be the idea of Spanish team of 2008-2012... (They played with 1-4-5-1) I mean something like this: GK: Casillas, he is definitely the most important GK in Spanish NT ever, although I prefer Zamora and Arconada. RB: Sergio Ramos, I prefer Segarra, but Ramos is the 3rd player with more matches played with the NT, only Casillas and Xavi has more appearances than him, and don't forget what he won. SW: Hierro CB: Puyol LB: Camacho DMF: Pirri CMF: Xavi/Luís Suárez AMF: Di Stéfano RMF: Amancio LMF: Gento CF/SS: Villa/Raúl
I think this XI could suit better Spain, if you see the Strikers... Only Gento can play on the side, and doesn't matter the position, he played very well as WF and equal as SM... And all other Strikers are CF except Di Stéfano, and some second positions of the others Strikers which are SS, so, it seems logic

Also, i took the formation of what they showed on 2012, but without the weird idea of playing without a CF, but regarding the Spain during 2008-2012, they at least from what i've see with no side midfielders/Wingers, just with AMF, so indeed
Regarding the luck of Spain in international tournaments, i think they could have won on 2002, but you know, sometimes you'll need more than luck to advance...

Well, it can be SMF and AMF playing on the side, it really doesn't matter. That Spain, Iniesta can play as SMF and AMF, and Silva too so, and the natural changes in that positions were Jesús Navas (SMF) and Cazorla (SMF too)... It can be with the two options, and for the All Star, I prefer with SMF, if not Amancio and Gento wouldn't play never... And don't you think the Coach should be Luís Aragonés or Vicente Del Bosque instead of Kubala? (I mean most of the Honours are there with these 2 coaches)

Updated the coach, also added your formation as alternative, just say your "ideal" formation setting like i've posted here and on the french team.

Di Stéfano hasn't to be in the first team. For me he has to be in Argentina All Stars, not in this place. But I respect your opinions. By the way, I propose to add Busquets to reserves.

Sorry for spamming these all star threads too much, but is there any reason Santillana is in first team over Zarra? Considering Zarra was probably the best Spanish striker in history, led Spain to the final stage in the 1950 World Cup (still their second best result) and scored more goals in nowhere near as many games as Santillana I feel it makes sense to have him here...
