90 in DEF is too much, he isn't that good..
He isn't/wasn't better than Hummels/Chiellini/Benatia, 86 was more than enough for him.. |

I don't fully shared that, we all know that he has commited numerous defensive mistakes in his career, but during this time he was amazing in defense, i almost didn't recognize him during that time, possibly one of the best spanish defenders better than Nadal for example, that's something undeniable, he was a wall with Puyol (aside from Spain's posession) and i see him in 90, still is better than 93
 that's imo too muchPuyol DEF's should/must be increased if we want him to be above of Pique. |

We don't have to increase Puyol if we put Pique on 87..
He is very good but his positioning isn't world class level and surely not worth an orange value. At least if I compare him to those players I mentioned above or Fernando Hierro (who is a similar type of player), I don't see Pique on the same level.. |

I can leave it in 88 (already a WC level and isn't thaat scandalous)
While Hierro was far better in attacking than Pique (just look at the goals  ) i see both the same at defending or Pique just a point better than Hierro, the both shared the same problem (big slow-ass)  |

Ok to summon all, I still see his DEF in 90 during 2008-2010 (especially in the season when they crush Real at the Santiago Bernabeu) after that, he decline and he got worst during Guardiola's departure and before Lucho's arrival (2012-2014)..

So, what about an update here? He's still overrated with 90, 88 for DEF would be fair and enough. Also era should be 2008-2010, after 2010 I don't see him with more than 86 for DEF..

Well, this year Piqué was pretty good...
And I'm with you, he needs an update (reduce era to 2008-2010 and maybe make a new set for 2011-2012), I personally suggest: DEF: 87-88 (I prefer 87, one point above Ramos prime set) TS: 79 at least (he wasn't that slow, for example in 2010 the goal of Switzerland, Piqué was faster than Fernandes, and Fernandes wasn't slow )TEC: 84 (in those years he can control almost every ball without problems) |
