INFO:Fritz Herkenrath was one of the best German keepers in 50's and 60's. He was flying keeper with great reflexes and very intelligent in closing the angle to strikers and limiting their chances. Hr had good agility since he started his career as right winger. A very likeable goalkeeper who stood out for his quick reflexes, his audacity inside the box and good catching. Herkenrath liked to parry the ball in a spectacular way but despite this love for showboating was a staunch and reliable keeper. After 75 league games for Dellbrück he joined for the 1951/52 round of the league first neighbors FC Cologne.
