Sousa and Carvalho surely don't deserve to be in best XI for Portugal (I'm not sure about Pinto or Artur as RB), tbh I'd rather add Jaime Graca as third midfielder before I'dd add Sousa

Regarding formation, I didn't put Peyroteo 'cause IMO he was slow for the team (i'm talking honestly of my style of playing PES ) I agree with switching Sousa with Graca... But for the Strikers i'd rather keep with this 3 monsters in front.... but i'm open to suggestions too

Since they finally won a trophy, I've updated this thread a bit. I added honours and updated coach (as much as I respect Queiroz but he archieved more with U-20, not with first team). From the EURO winning team, I added Moutinho, Nani, Pepe, Bruno Alves and Rui Patricio to the reserves.

Pepe played fantastic tournament, I've never seen in my life anything similar by any player except of Maradona in '86 on major NT tournaments. He looked almost better than Baresi throughout the competition. He could be even considered for the first team, with Peyroteo out to reserves, and Ronaldo moved among the strikers since he's not a midfielder..

By far best defender in this tournament.
Maybe too much central defenders: Coelho, Germano, Couto, Carvalho and him...

I'm agree, Pepe deserves a place there, he is one of the best defenders in Portugal NT story...

For me, with Godin, the best CB in La Liga

I agree with that. If you really want to add Pepe, then Couto should go in reserves and not a striker. But we should consider that Pepe's performances were never as constant as the ones from Couto, just remember his horrible performance in the 2014 WC or several other games were he was rather average..
Anyway if you want to have him in first team, add him
Edit: If Peyroteo should go in reserves, I'd add José Torres to first team..

Personally I’d add Chalana to the first team instead of Águas or Peyroteo, he played a fantastic tournament in Euro 1984, was surely one of the most talented players in Portuguese history and provides cover for both wings, and there’s 5 CFs in the team anyway...
