Dezső Novák was a former Hungarian footballer who played as right-back. Like all footballer are above average ability, Novák had extraordinary qualities. He was a player with good fighting spirit, penalty specialist, and had a very strong shot. He also free-kick expert, in total he scored 27 goals from free-kick and almost his free-kick goals from 30 meters. He played for Ferencvárosi TC from 1961 to 1972, and from national team he played 9 games and scored 3 goals. He participated at 1960, 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics and also 1964 European Cup.
