Gurra Carlson is former Swedish player. He played mainly as wing half and centre half, very determinate and strong player in good condition, good positioning and with lot of running, very confident and tenacoius usually the captain of the team. He played for Mariebergs IK from 1910-1926 and participated in 14 international matches from 1915 to 1924. At the Summer Olympics in 1924 in Paris, he was in the Swedish team that won bronze medals. After he was not considered for the Olympic Games in 1920 and then in 1921 came to an international duty, he was at the 1924 Olympic Games back to country selection. In the opening match, a 8-1 win against Belgium, he was not on the field, in the following sections, however, he belonged to the starting lineup and the team reached the semifinals. In the 0-2 defeat against Switzerland, he worked as a 1-1 draw after extra time against the Dutch in the game with selection for third place in the tournament and wore the captain's armband at times. During the subsequent replay in which the two gates was time scorer Sven Rydell and Evert Lundquist with a 3-1 victory earned the bronze medal, he was not using. One week after the conclusion of the tournament he was in the 3-2 win against Denmark at his 14th International duty for the last time in the National Jersey. Honored in 1926 as Stor Grabb, he belonged from 1934 to the selection committee of the Swedish national team.
