INFO:Bet is a former centre back. His career started at at Inter but he played only 8 matches in the first team during the 1967-68 season. Then, he had good seasons at Roma and Hellas Verona, playing 164 matches for the
Giallorossi from 1968 to 1973 and 33 for the
Scaligeri in the 1973-74 season. He had his best time at Milan, where he made 204 appearances from 1974 to 1981, scoring twice. He retired one year later after a spell at Campania. He was called up for Italy twice in 1971.
Bet was a very strong player and capable man marker, gifted with an imposing physique and great energy. He possessed great consistency as well as condition. In fact, he missed only 3 Serie A matches from 1969 to 1975. Bet was excellent in the air and very careful in defence. He never intentionally pushed forward as he lacked of speed and his touch of the ball wasn't very good. Therefore, he wouldn't be effective at setting up the offense. However, his general technique wasn't too bad. His two Milan goals came both in Coppa Italia with right-footed shots, one in 1976 and one in 1978.
