INFO:Pusceddu was a left-back. He's considered the best left back in the history of Cagliari, club where his career began and where he played from 1982 to 1985. He came back to the Sardinian team in 1992 and staying until 1996. He was of Cagliari's key players, helping the team to qualify for the 1993-94 UEFA Cup. He played a total of 179 matches for the
Rossoblu, scoring 14 goals. He played also for several other clubs, including Torino, Hellas Verona, Napoli and Fiorentina. He retired in 1998.
A mainly offensive side-back, Pusceddu was renowned for his redoubtable, powerful and accurate left foot that he used to take free kicks and corners, to deliver crosses or long range shots. He had also good speed and strength in shoulder-to-shoulder challenges with his opponents. These characteristics made one of the most complete and, arguably, underrate Italian side-backs of the 1990s.
