Giandebiaggi is a former right side midfielder or wing back, who could play also as defensive midfielder. He spent most of his career at Cremonese, playing 235 matches and scoring 15 goals from 1990 to 1997. He played also for Parma, Pro Patria, Hellas Verona, Cosenza and Sassuolo. He retired in 2007 after a few seasons in minor leagues.
Giandebiaggi was the heart and soul of Cremonese, a leader in the field despite his young age. He wasn't among the best in terms of technique but he was essential due to his spirit of sacrifice. He possessed good speed and tactical sense, which were very helpful when his team was on the attack. His speed combined with a short and not strong physique garanteed him to receive many fauls. He also ensured good covering on his side. Right-footed but accurate with the left as well, he scored a decent number of goals. Some came from powerful shots, others from tap-ins.
