INFORaymond Passello was very ery talented player but also "Enfant terrible" of Swiss football. Raymond played as centre forward early on but soon was converted to inside right. Very gifted technically but also great oportunist, dangerous in the box. Very good close control, elegant and inventive, an absolute master in chip shots, powerful and precise shot and he was also good at heading. Raymond Passello was a tall center forward who has played his entire career for Servette. The Geneva brought his raised "coolness" the fans again and again to the edge of anger. Its distance and subtle way of playing but fascinated audiences and pulled it into his spell. Towards the end of the 1924/25 season he made his debut in Serie A, scoring the first time around and the only game-winning goal against FC Bern. Between 1925 to 1934 Raymond Passello played 18 times for the Swiss national. None knew better than to listen to the opposing goalkeeper with subtle lobs. For the first time on radio remotes, the audience presented all sorts under the word "a typical Passello-shot" before. But at the World Cup 1934 in Italy's 3-2 win over Passello played the Netherlands again. He invested himself fully into the family business and unfortunately ended his career with 31 years already. Raymond Passello inspired the writer Georges Haldas to multiple stories in his book "La légende du football". Passello died in 1987.
