Attack MindedINFO:Toro was an attacking midfielder who could play also as right-sided midfielder. He's one of the best Chilean players of the 1960s and arguably one of the best ever. He had his best period in Modena from 1963 to 1969: 122 matches played and 18 goals. He played also for Colo-Colo, Sampdoria, Hellas Verona, Unión Española, Deportes Concepción, Audax Italiano and Deportes La Serena. He capped 29 times and scored 6 goals for Chile. He was part of the squad that reached the third place at the 1962 FIFA World Cup.
Toro was a very talented midfielder, gifted with superb technique. He was a playmaker who mostly created goal opportunities for his teammates but he could also score. His free kicks and long passes that reached the wingers − even from deep distances − were remarkable. The only problem that stopped him for playing for bigger clubs was probably his unconsistency in performances. In fact, when he first came to Italy to play for Sampdoria, he was considered a flop.
