Nobile was a left-back who could be used also a centre back. He had his best time at Pescara from 1991 to 1996, playing 151 matches and scoring 12 goals. Before joining the Biancoazzurri, he had a good two-year spell at Cesena with 64 games and 4 goals. He played also for Lecce, Reggina, Inter and a few minor clubs. He eventually retired in 2000.
Nobile was mostly an offensive side-back who felt comfortable on the flank. He had speed and strength thanks to which he proved to be effective in the middle of the defence when he was asked to play in that position. Gifted with a powerful left-footed shot that gave troubles to many goalkeepers, he was dangerous when he moved to the attack, especially during free kicks. He himself was a decent free kick taker.
