Radford is a former centre forward and right winger. He's mostly known for his time at Arsenal, where he scored 149 goals in 481 matches from 1964 to 1976. He played also for West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers, retiring from professional football in 1979. He capped for England twice between 1969 and 1971.
Strong and uncompromising, Radford wasn't a spectacular striker but he's considered one of the most effective in Arsenal's history. He showed great scoring sense since his youth and mantained a constant scoring rate for years. He was gifted with good running ability for a heavy player, technique and dribbling, a fierce shot on either foot, great instinct in front of the goal and ability in the air. He could score in many was: in 1-on-1 situation, with a volley or a header. He wasn't only a scorer but also a hardworking player, who delivered assists or made the defenders busy to create space for his teammates. It was impossible for the opposing defenders to ignore him.
