This team should be updated soon, I'll wait for the next CA so it could be debated.

Here's the only thing I could find after a relatively non exhaustive search: https://www.venezuelafutbol.com.ve/ali- ... enezolana/Simeone + Verón esque player. EDIT Seriously, don't expect a solid player, we're talking about a player who only made an impact in the beginnings of the Venezuelan football and in some USA university.

I read this article too. All that I read about him says he played for the National Team as well but I couldnt find more than this. I was more looking for statistics about him. Maybe he is just those kind of players that lives more on the imaginary of the people than actually in real life. Anyway, I found his history very interesting. I believe Venezuelan football history probably has a lot of legendary cool stories that it is hard to found about because of the long amateur era period and for not being the most popular sport in the country.

Yeah, the same can be said for Luis Mendoza (the "greatest" Venezuelan player pre boom Vinotinto).

Faríñez can be added as reserves, he has at least 40 caps already and he isn't 25 years old yet, it shouldn't be a surprise he'll end up being the first centennial Venezuelan GK as long he doesn't get injured or (highly unlikely) another pretender pops up. Remove Yohandry Orozco; the reason? I explained it 5 years ago.

This team needs a big update, I just don't know if this is the right time to do it. Venezuela's current generation seems to be their best ever. They won 3 games and draw 1 in the last Copa America, losing only to Canada on penalties. They also have a good shot at playing the next WC, which would be their first ever.
Both Yangel Herrera and Darwin Machis stablished himself at higher football standards playing in La Liga. Yeferson Soteldo is one of the most known players of the Brazilian league. From 2016 to 2020 he was named to best XI of most tourneys. He did great with Santos. Jefferson Savarino won Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Brazileiro with Botafogo last year. He was named for the team of the tournament for both tourneys, and also South American Best XI. I don't know how well Josef Martinez is rated in Venezuela, but he is already a legend in the MLS. Alejandro Guerra is already included in reserves, but he might be a candidate for the first team. He won the Copa Libertadores in 2016 with Atlético Nacional and was named the best player of tournament. He also did well at Palmeiras, winning the Campeonato Brasileiro in 2018. I don't know how to rate Luis Manuel Seijas though. I don't know how well he played during his time in Europe, but in Brazil he was trash. His career with Santa Fe was great though: more than 200 played and more than 30 goals scored. He won Copa Sudamericana in 2015 and was named for the South America Best XI in that same year.
