Attack / Defence Awareness Card: Attack MindedINFOS:Legendary Rangers striker who scored an incredible 249 goals in 259 games for the club, and would have scored even more if not for the suspension of professional football due to World War 2. Jimmy Smith was known for his enormous physique and was considered the strongest forward in Britain at the time, he would simply bludgeon his way through defenders, even three men weren't enough to stop him. He was also a versatile player who could play on all 5 forward positions, despite not possessing a very refined technical game and having cumbersome movements. His main weapons when attacking were his humongous strength, natural sense for scoring and his excellent heading ability with which he scored many of his goals. He was also considered to be an intelligent player capable of opening up space for his teammates, and was an able passer, recording plenty of assists. Jimmy was also known for his humour and good nature, earning him the nickname "Joker", although his physical style of play often lead to confrontations with opposition players. He often took penalties, although he was sometimes criticised for lacking composure in front of goal and hesitating before shooting. Despite this, he was one of the deadliest strikers in Europe at his peak, averaging roughly a goal a game for more than 10 years for Rangers. He played for the club throughout the war years, but these games are considered unofficial; without these lost years, it is very likely he would still be Rangers' top scorer of all time, a title currently held by Ally McCoist with 355 goals.
