BalancedINFO:Sordo was a midfielder who played mostly on the right side. He spent most of his career at Torino, playing 152 matches and scoring 9 goals between 1989 and 1994 after a one-year loan at Trento. He missed many games during his time at Torino − especially in the 1991-92 season − but he always gave the best thanks to agonism and determination. He was very useful for Torino on the right flank while Lentini played on the left. However he's also remembered for having hit the post in the second leg of the 1991-92 UEFA Cup final, lost against Ajax. After leaving Torino he never reached high levels, playing for many teams including Milan, Reggiana, Bari, Cannes and Pisa. He retired in 2004.
Despite being used mostly as right-side midfielder at Torino, Sordo could cover more positions. He said in a 2014 interview that he considered his main position similar to Marchisio's, so central and defensive midfielder or sweeper like Bonucci even though he wasn't a header as good as him. He had decent technique, was a generous player and a handyman gifted with good speed showed in his overlapping runs.
