INFO:Bosnich is a former goalkeeper. He spent most of his career at Aston Villa: 207 matches from 1991 to 1999. He played also for Manchester United - where he was a regular starter in the 1999-00 season - Sydney Croatia, Chelsea, Central Coast Mariners and Sydney Olympic, retiring in 2009. During his troublesome career, he was banned in 2003, when he was playing for Chelsea, for serious extra-football matters. He capped 17 times for Australia and scored a penalty in a 13-0 win against Solomon Islands in 1997.
Bosnich was a good and very agile shotstopper, regarded at his time at Aston Villa as the best Australian goalkeeper ever to play for the team. He impressed for his command of the penalty area, the ability to organise the defence, his excellent cat-like reflexes and the ability to make spectacular saves with very good leaps despite his heavy build. He had a powerful kick and preferred to deliver long balls, which often weren't very accurate but went past the midfield and could trigger dangerous attacks.
