Defence MindedINFO:Nappi was a right back. He played most of his career at Perugia, appearing in 272 matches and scoring once in two spells, the first from 1974 to 1982 and the second in 1984-85. He played also for Juve Stabia, Palmese, Sorrento and Roma.
Nappi was a good defender who could cover well the space. His efficiency at recovering balls thanks to his good speed was probably his best characteristic and the one that convinced Liedholm to have him at Roma. He didn't have a particularly strong physique but he was tough and hard to overcome. He was accurate enough with the feet to make crosses from the flank.
