INFO:Esposito is a former winger, center forward and secondary striker. His career began in 1990. After seasons at Casertana, Sambenedettese and Avellino, he transferred to Empoli in 1995. He scored 46 goals in over 100 matches throughout three seasons, contributing to the team's double promotion from Serie C1 to Serie A. After leaving Empoli in 1998, he played with less success for Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Vicenza before coming back to Serie C and eventually minor leagues. He retired in 2012.
Esposito was a good and prolific striker at Empoli, where he had great commitment for three seasons. He had short physique because of which no Serie A clubs decided to bet on him when he was very young. He was though quick and gifted with remarkable dribbling and technique. He was a danger on the wings thanks to his ability to go easily past his opponents and a danger inside the box thanks to his speed and sureness in front of the goalkeeper. He was right-footed but accurate with the left foot as well. His shots had good power and his specialty was the volley while turning. He scored also some goals with headers and proved to be an able penalty taker, especially in the last two seasons.
