INFO:Tawan is a former attacking and central midfielder. His career began in 1993 at Rajvithi. He then played for Bangkok Bank between 1995 and 1997. He had his best time in Singapore at Sembawang Rangers, where he played 180 matches from 1998 to 2003, scoring 29 goals. After an experience in Vietnam at Hoàng Anh Gia Lai between 2004 and 2006, he came back to Thailand, playing for BEC Tero Sasana, where he stayed until his retirement in 2009. He capped for Thailand 110 times, scoring 19 goals, winning four Southeast Asian Games, three AFF Championships and three King's Cups.
Considered one of the greatest midfielders in Thailand history, Tawan was distinguished for his creative passing ability and accuracy from set piece. A notably short player, he was a brilliant playmaker, gifted with agility and style, technique and turning skills, good touch of the ball and a powerful long range shot. He wasn't a prolific scorer and his two most memorable goals came in friendly matches, respectively in 2001 against Manchester United and 2007 against Netherlands: the first was a right-footed shot following a few turns, the second was a curled free kick from 30 yards.
