Christian had good technique and passing abilities, skillful in midfield combinations, very slim and elegant but not with lot of endurance. He played from 1971 to 1981 with Borussia Moenchengladbach and came here at 220 games with 38 goals in the Bundesliga and won three times in a row Bundesliga title, from 1975-1977 , the German Cup and twice in 1975 and 1979 UEFA Cup. The clever ball distributor in midfield, who had played in the youth of Alemannia Aachen moved to Bökelberg on the care of the Hennes Weisweiler in summer of 1971, took part at 1971-72 season in his first 23 games, scoring 4 goals. His debut in the Bundesliga, was on 2 October 1971 at the away game at first FC Cologne. Fourteen days later, he experienced already as not quite 19 years of the 7-1 success at the site of Günter Netzer and Herbert Wimmer in the European Cup against the Inter Milan, which was later canceled. In 1975 he celebrated the first German league title and victory in the UEFA Cup against Twente Enschede, in 1973 he participated in the final games against Liverpool in the UEFA Cup as well as in the successful DFB Cup final against 1 FC Cologne. Kulik was allowed to play from the start to Günter Netzer, who then substituted Kulik and moved with a 2-1 winning goal from Moenchengladbach to Real Madrid. Again, against Liverpool Kulik played on 25 May 1977 in Rome in the final of the European Cup champion in the 1-3 defeat as he stood in 1980 in the UEFA Cup in the final games against Eintracht Frankfurt in the middle of the Gladbach team, now as the captain. He came to a total of 66 games in the European Cup. In 1973 he came for the DFB to three appearances in the "U 23". The elegant combination strong player simply failed to be in the interests of national team. After he left the Bökelberg, Kulik continued his career in 1981/82 with RFC Antwerp. He then played for Düren 99, than was hired from 1984 to end 1986 with lower division clubs in Switzerland (Mendrisiostar, ASV Chur) and celebrated in the Spring Series 1986/87, together with his former Gladbach colleague Wolfgang Kleff an unexpected comeback with the then second division -FSV Salmrohr, which the two old mates could not save them from relegation.
