INFO:Bertini is a former defensive midfielder. He spent the majority of his career at Inter, making 295 appearances from 1968 to 1977, scoring 38 goals. He played also for Prato, Empoli, Fiorentina and Rimini, retiring in 1978. He gained 25 caps for Italy, scoring twice.
Bertini was a complete, reliable and consistent midfielder. He guaranteed quantity to the team thanks to his excellent contribution in terms of strength, speed and covering ability. Also, he was gifted with fine technique, dribbling and accuracy with both feet. He was a threat in the attack thanks to his ability to score in many different ways. He waited in the box for a header or a tap-in, he was effective with powerful long range shots, was an able free kick taker and a penalty specialist. His great determination, stamina and spirit of sacrifice made him not just a defensive midfielder with interdiction tasks but one who also pushed forward, fighting against fatigue until the end of the game.
