INFO:Skilful and efficient attacking half, complete midfielder, Franceschetti was focused mainly on the offensive. Considered a little prodigy at the time - interesting size, touch, rare technical ease, sharp, ambidextrous, midfielder in principle, can easily turn into a forward centre scorer with a great head game. Represents quite well the image of the successful marriage between the artist and the athlete that is rarely found.
His sin was wanting to do too much. Unfortunately for him, he played a lot of positions (libero, stopper, midfielder, forward) - making him a wanderer who covers a lot of ground and should have stuck to a more limited role. As George Boulogne, the French coach at the time said - he has a whole set of qualities that undoubtedly make him a true modern-day footballer.
Very fine technician who had a very good offensive and defensive heading game, Franceschetti made a career mainly at SEC Bastia, a club of which he was captain and with which he was in the final of the Coupe de France in 1972. In the meantime he also played for Olympique de Marseille, being a midfield holder from 1972 to 1974, playing in the Champions Trophy against Bastia (losing from his former club). Franceschetti was a member of Bastia's epic European journey, being a finalist in the UEFA Cup in 1978 - however playing just over 10 matches in total in that season.
