No Charlie Tully or Erich Schaedler here?
I'm also surprised to see Reilly not in first team here, watching the set and reading about his impact at Hibs history I would have rather chosen him than Quinn. Same goes for Auld instead of Brown/Ferguson or Baxter in best XI but you probably can rate that stuff better than me.

Well Schaedler was a good player, who had a great career in Scotland but I was trying to avoid adding too many players who never won the title. Of course his teammates Stanton and Duncan are here but those two are the biggest Hibs legends after the Famous Five. I also planned to keep reserves to 12 for each position but found there were specifically too many great wingers that I had to expand the midfielders and forwards to fit them in.

I also originally planned to have Reilly in the first team but his career was quite short and he suffered from plenty of injuries so despite his ability, his actual goals and appearances aren't that high compared to some others, combined with the fact he "only" won 2 league titles (obviously still very impressive considering the circumstances of Scottish football). Bobby Walker was an even better player, maybe even the best in the world in the first decade of the 1900s, and similarly misses out. But I also considered putting McMenemy over Quinn too. It's hard to be fair to players from the other clubs when guys like Archibald, Lennox, McNair etc. have almost as many league titles as every other club combined. It's a shame because there are so many legends outside the Old Firm that deserve more recognition, the numbers of guys like Bob Ferrier, Hughie Ferguson and Willie MacFadyen are incredible and the other world class players too like Bobby Walker, the Famous Five etc. are more or less unknown outside of Scotland.

Auld and Baxter were similar in that they were actually only really significant players for about 5 years in the top flight. Of course they were excellent players but Auld is more recognised for his performances in Europe compared to Brown or Ferguson who were dominant figures in Scottish league football. Baxter had a short but incredibly high peak which could put him above Murdoch but Bobby was a crucial part of 8 consecutive league titles and IMO just as good a player, of course in different ways.
