I watched a few of his matches for Benfica, and he was basically the same at the NT. He wasn't very big, but he had good strength and and a lot of STA to run up and down the field during the '90 mins. A bit less technically gifted than Álvaro Pereira, Maxi was a better defender, and had enough technique to attack as a RWB or RMF.

I haven't watched much of him after 2010, but I believe this set could also be used for the 2011 Copa America. He also deserves a set for the later part of his career (2013-2018), but I'll save this challenge for later.
