Interesting, what exactly did Lahm and Schweinsteiger do in 2014?



Because Beckenbauer, Schulz, Schnellinger and Kohler were all better players and more important for our NT than Sammer was.

dont be angry bro!! i didn't see Schweinsteiger. and I thought Lahm had retired from the national team before 2014. sorry for that.
In my opinion, T.Muller is underrated and he scored many goals in WC s.
and sammer won the ballon dor. only 3 defenders won that.

It's been 8 years since everybody saw Lahm lifting the World Cup, I mean, aren't you joking?...

I think we can drop Schulz and replace him with Forster who was a better defender. Very similar to Kohler. I'm not sure Schweinsteiger or Schafer deserve places in this team. There were better footballers than them. Szepan or even Szymaniak.

Maier or Kahn needs to be dropped to make place for Neuer. He was outstanding for Germany in 2014 WC and arguably their beat player. He deserves place in this team. Sammer should be there too. Me would have been an all time great barring injury.

Maier is legend. Agree for Kahn,actually Neuer is for me best german GK in history,should be in instead Kahn.

And as for the previous post, there are definitely better players than Schulz, in my opinion that place should be taken by Sammer, without a doubt the best East German player, and later very important for the unified Germany.

Achievements are surely important but this is Germany All Stars, not German players with most trophies. Schulz was one of the best defenders in the world in the second half of the 1960s and he's one of the best defenders in Germany's history. Also, even though he didn't win any contintental or international competition, he was still runner-up in the 1966 World Cup, a tournament West Germany should've won. These reasons are enough to consider him a way more valid choice than Schwarzenbeck. In addition, he earned 22 caps more than Schwarzenbeck. So, it's obvious that Schulz deserves the spot.

In my OF I use Kohler, Schullz is not competitive against other teams.

I use a 3-5-2 formation with Beckenbauer as a sweeper, with Vogts and Schnellinger as stoppers.

I would suggest adding Toni Kroos and putting him among the starters, and put Ballack among the reserves. Toni Kroos has won more, has more appearances, and in general has been more decisive in NT.

Nonsense. Ballack carried our NT together with Kahn in it's worst period and with team mates that were a lot worse than them. Kroos had one good tournament for our NT and on the other hand disappeared plenty of times when his NT needed him, especially after Schweinsteiger and also Khedira retired. I don't know where those myths about him beeing decisive come from - in most of his tournaments he was the opposite of it and unlike Ballack he never (not even in his prime) made the NT and his team mates better than Ballack did during his career..
