INFO:Tireless defensive midfielder. He had a hard job: to take care of the opposing number 10 and create opportunities up front. Long legs and fine technique, often liked to play one touch passes and possessed nice passing ability overall, dissecting the opposing defense. Corner and long free kick taker, very strong shot. Almost doesn't use his right leg.
Dominique Cuperly played as a professional footballer in two clubs in the France championship mainly: FC Metz, where he arrived in 1968 from CO Langres, 1970 to 1975, then AJ Auxerre until 1985. These two periods were only interrupted by a loan to RC Besançon in 1972-1973, and a trial of a few months at Stade de Reims, with which he won the Coupe des Alpes, at the beginning of the 1977-1978 season (he returned to Auxerre in October). In Auxerre, he played in the final of the Coupe de France 1979, lost to FC Nantes, and won the following year the championship of France of 2nd division. From 1980 to 1985, he was a starter with the club Auxerrois in the first division.
