I don't get why you don't use the the criterias that we others used here. Why no reserves? Why those "Player A" or Player B" things instead?
That team seems not well researched, I have to put it that way. Brehme rarely played on the left side in Italy, he should be the starting LB and Berthold RB. There's no way that Bierhoff can be placed over Völler. What is Khedira doing here? He was mediocre at Juve at best while Szymaniak was one of Europe's best DMs while at Catania. There's no need for Heinrich when you have Brehme/Gosens/Briegel for left side, especially when you consider that Heinrich also had his peak outside Italy. I guess that this was the reason why Rummenigge was excluded here but then you can't have Müller in this team for example. And before I forget it: Albert Brülls is blatantly missing here.

This team is impossible to create. A part from the missing players mentioned by gurkenjoe93, Serie A only had Lehmann as German goalkeeper and he made just a handful of forgettable appearances.

That's why Bierhoff is ahead of Völler, come on, who had the better performance there?
I included Heinrich because of his versatility, he's meant to play as RB rather than on the left, exactly for the same thing you said (LBs Gosens, Briegel and the currently placed as RB, Brehme).
Brehme is on the right as Gosens' individual stats are solid for an attacking wingback, he shouldn't be out of the starting eleven by any reason.
Khedira might have not been particularly awesome at Juventus (Injuries robbed him of more apps and likely goals), but let's not act like if a CMF who's not a penalty or free kick taker scored 19 goals in 77 games is "mediocre".
