INFO:Daniel Sanchez was a very technical striker. He was very interesting, had no problems with the ball. He was a fast winger who played right side (occasionally on the left too), an old-fashioned player who centered very well. Daniel was a footballer full of qualities, but he had a small flaw - he lacked power.
Winger who was also an attacking midfielder trained at Cavigal de Nice, Daniel Sanchez lived his best years with the OGC Nice jersey that he donned for the first time in 1972 under the orders of Jean Snella. In 9 years, he played 232 games and scored 54 goals, including 12 in the 1975-1976 season, finished in second place in D1, just three points behind the Saint-Etienne champion. Three years earlier, the Gym had already finished on the second step of the podium in 1973. With the Aiglons, Daniel Sanchez also reached the final of the Coupe de France 1978 lost to AS Nancy-Lorraine captain Michel Platini.
Leaving Ray in 1981, Sanchez signed with Paris Saint-Germain before moving to FC Mulhouse, AS Saint-Étienne and AS Cannes.
On 27 March 1976, he was called up by Henri Guérin to the France A' team for a match against Luxembourg and scored the winning goal in the 85th minute. In 1978, he was then very close to the France team, even playing under Michel Hidalgo in an unofficial friendly match with the "Blues" against RCS Anderlecht on August 12, 1978. Starting at kick-off, he was replaced by Dominique Rocheteau in the 60th minute in a match won by a goal to nil.
