INFO:Sunzu is a centre-back who can also play as defensive midfielder. His career started in 2005 at Konkola Blades. In 2007, he joined Zanaco FC where he spent two seasons. Afterwards, he only played outside of Zambia. He had experiences in the DR Congo with Mazembe from 2010 to 2014; in France with Sochaux in 2014 and Lille from 2015 to 2018, and Metz from 2018 to 2020; in China with Shanghai Shenhua in 2015-16 and Cangzhou Mighty Lions from 2020 to 2022; in Russia with Arsenal Tula in 2017-18. He signed for Chinese second division team Jinan Xingzhou in 2023. He capped for Zambia 85 times and scored 5 goals so far. He won the 2012 African Cup of Nations. He was the only Zambian defender who was included in the Team of the Tournament.
A towering defender, Sunzu has distinguished himself by an excellent combination of consistency, defensive awareness, strength, aerial ability, good positioning in the box, interception, tackling and solid speed across the ground for a big man. Furthermore, he has a remarkable ball distribution, especially in his long range passing that he uses to start the attack from the back. His style of play balances back-line and midfield well. This allowed him to play efficiently as defensive midfielder too. His ability in the air makes him a threat in the opposition's area as he scored many headers throughout his career. After an excellent performance at the 2012 African Cup, he had the privilege to score the decisive penalty in the final against Ivory Coast.
