I think that Enyeama has to be in this squad. I'd even put him in first team.

Maybe instead of Ogedegbe.

I agree with Enyeama in first team, one of the best African goalkeepers of all time in my opinion. Also personally think Ahmed Musa has done enough to even be in first team too, he’s been Nigeria’s best player at 2 World Cups now, maybe he could replace Okoye or Esin.

Yisa SHOFOLUWE is entered twice!

An update for this team is a work on progress. And regardless of that, there's really no need of pointing out obvious mistakes when it's clear by now — I guess it's not so clear for many users — that all outdated national teams are being fixed. And yes, it takes a lot of time, not a few weeks.

Finally updated this team.

I know Odiye has a high reputation in Nigeria but I really wouldn’t consider him above Yobo who was a good defender in Europe for about 10 years, earned 100 caps and captained the team to a round of 16 at the World Cup.

Likewise, Enyeama was clearly better than Okala IMO. And he had plenty of fantastic performances in both World Cup and AFCON.

Enyeama/Okala was one of my biggest doubt actually. Okala is one of the biggest Nigerian legends but Enyeama has some great World Cups, it's not an easy choice.

For what I read in my two book about Nigerian national teams, blogs, etc. Odiye-Chukwu was by far the best CB couple in their history even if Godwin Odiye did the decisive own goal against Tunisia that excluded Super Eagles from WC78, about Yobo, there are other CB highly rated than him, first of all Olumodeji (even if he had not so much caps) and Godwin Achebe.

What about Taribo? Doesn't he deserve a place in the first team?

Same as Yobo there are names much more rated than him and in one of my books about Nigeria isn't even in top 50 Nigerian players ever.
