INFODilmen was one of the most talented players of his generation, and arguably the most skilled Turkish player of all time. Nicknamed 'Şeytan Rıdvan' ('Rıdvan the Devil') due to his wits, immense speed with the ball, and stupendous fakes, he was the main figure of the 1988–89 Turkish League season, during which Fenerbahçe won the title with 103 goals in 36 matches. In that season, he scored 19 goals and provided 41 assists. Fast, skilled, and intelligent on the pitch, his career was limited by constant injuries and a lack of exposure outside Turkey. After getting injured in 1990 against Trabzonspor by Serbian defender Miodrag Ješić, he never fully recovered. Rıdvan failed to fulfill expectations due to persistent injuries, which required sixteen operations. He retired in 1994 as a result of these injuries.
