INFO:The center back Alex Pinho started his professional career at Vasco da Gama in 1993 and played for the club's first team for seven years, winning a Brazilian Championship, a Libertadores, three Cariocas and a Rio-São Paulo championship. The defender never managed to establish himself as the main player in the starting XI, but he was often used, especially by the coach Antônio Lopes as a kind of 12th player for when the games got tough, he would almost always come on at the end of the second half to help secure the results. In total, Alex Pinho played almost 175 games wearing the Vasco shirt between 1993 and 1999, that year he transferred to Bahia.
