Quote:
One of the world's greatest forwards in the air. As well as his height, 6'4", he is an exceptional athlete, making him 'practically impossible' to mark in the air - as former Parma coach Carlo Ancelotti once said. His aerial ability is complemented by decent passing and unselfish support play that has allowed other strikers to flourish alongside him. Kennet was excellent "chasing back" striker, hard worker who played dominant as target man but also often made great runs on wing followed by good crosses. He was unusually fast for a player of his size with impressive leap, good technique, very strong shot and great heading. He could score tons of goals but unfortunately for his statistics his coaches always used him to prepare the goals for teammates, not to score himself. He was renowned for his work-rate, hold-up play with his back to goal, and in particular his excellent abilities in the air, which enabled him both to score goals with his head and get on the end of long balls to provide assists for his teammates from knock-downs.
