Was his passing as incredible as this? I only ask because I haven't watched too much of Haynes, and these values make him probably a top 3 passer of all time, and Beiderbecke was sometimes a little "generous" with giving orange and red values.

Johny Haynes was regconised by not only English greats like Bobby Moore, Alan Mullery, George Cohen, but also Pele described Haynes as “the best passer of the ball I've ever seen.”. And Pele played against Liedholm, too.
He also finished 3rd in Ballon D'or 1961.

Johnny Haynes (often written as John Haynes) is best remembered as Fulham’s defining one-club icon: an inside-forward who spent the heart of his career at Craven Cottage from the early 1950s into 1970, setting the club’s aggregate appearance record (commonly cited as 658 games) and scoring well over 150 goals for Fulham. At international level he earned 56 caps for England, captained them 22 times, and featured at the 1958 and 1962 World Cups—an influence figure of his era rather than a brief, flash-in-the-pan star.
Haynes was famous for vision and wide-range distribution, and for the kind of through-ball that slices into the space between defenders before either can fully commit—often described as a signature diagonal release that arrived exactly where a runner needed it. What made his passing feel especially modern was the tempo and attacking intent: he hit balls with a clean, purposeful pace that kept moves flowing forward rather than simply retaining possession (comparing to other great passers of that time), and he used tight close control plus a sharp burst over a few yards to survive crowded midfield pockets, buy half a second, and then punch a decisive final pass. And because he could score too—both for club and country—defenders couldn’t just sit off and block lanes; they had to engage him, which only opened more seams for those deadly releases.
He wasn't strong as he wasn't hard to put down with a physical touch, but such a situation wasn't common as he was able at avoiding contact thanks to movements with the ball. His short passes were usually accurate while his long balls didn't have the same consistency in accuracy. Haynes was praised by contemporary teammates like Jimmy Greaves for his excellent left-footed touches but in reality his passes with the left foot often lacked the same precision that the playmaker could give with his natural right foot. His bursts of speed over short distances allowed him to make useful late runs to the box where he occasionally attempted to hit a header: at least 12 are the goals he scored with his head. His contribution to the defense phase was also notable as Haynes could be seen often in his own half, sometimes in front of his area where he would start the play, occasionally even further back in support of the defenders. His attempts at recovering the ball were also quite regular but he lacked the reaction and aggression necessary to do the job typical of a holding midfielder.
