INFOS:

Marović was the regular left side back of the Red Star team that have won the European Cup and the only Red Star player who is still keeping his kit from the final match (all other teammates changed their shirts with OM players). His main task in European Cup and bigger matches in the league was to mark one of the most dangerous opposition players. If needed, he would have followed the opponent all over the pitch, on the right side too, if needed. His role in attacking actions was reduced to minimum in those matches. However, against weaker opponents, he joined the attack regularly, delivering useful crosses for Pančev and Binić and also often shooting at goal from various positions but most often with the same outcome - missing the goal. He was good, aggressive defender, who could stick to the opponent like that he's glued to him and that annoyed them a lot. However, that meant that his mission is accomplished. Overall, he was a great team player.
