INFO:Former Slovak striker. Jan was left winger and very fast who run 100 meters in 11.0 seconds. He had excellent finish, strong shot and running capacities. Ján played 286 league matches, while he was missing in only six. He was never injured and as an attacker and one of the fastest Slovan players, he always played the left wing. Ján thus won three championship titles and three cup trophies. In addition, he also became the best scorer and header of the season. He played for clubs ČH Bratislava (1960-1967, 1977-1983) and "Slovan" Bratislava (1967-1977). Record holder "Slovan" by the number of goals scored for the club - 100 of 285 games. Best scorer of Czechoslovakia 1971/1972 (19 goals). Champion of Czechoslovakia in 1970, 1974, 1975, winner of the country in 1968; 1974. European appearances spent 27 matches and scored 13 goals. For the national team of Czechoslovakia in 1968-1974 spent 20 matches and scored 6 goals. Ján Čapkovič began playing football at CH Bratislava, at age 18, he moved to Slovan Bratislava. There, the left winger played 285 first division matches in which he scored 100 goals. He was top scorer in the Czechoslovak league in 1972 with 19 goals. With Slovan Čapkovič 1970, 1974 and 1975 won the Czechoslovak football championship. In 1968 he won with his team the national cup competition 1969 made Slovan by winning the European Cup Winners' Cup for a big surprise. In the Czechoslovak national Čapkovič denied 1968-1974 20 matches in which he scored six goals. In 1968 he participated with the Czechoslovak team at the Summer Olympics in Mexico. In 1977 returned Ján Čapkovič back to CH Bratislava, where he finished his career in 1983. In the meantime renamed SKP Dubravka club he works as a manager. His twin brother Jozef Čapkovič was also Czechoslovakian national team player.
