INFO:One of the best players to emerge from former Czechoslovakia. Jokl was inside left and also left winger. Brilliant technician with great passing range, great crosses from the left flank, but a bit individualistic. He developed into a conductor of the entire team's game, he inspired the players with precise passes and entertained the audience with his technical tricks. He drove the defenders to despair, so much so that they often resorted to a dangerous foul. Throughout his career, Jokl suffered from injuries, caused by the defenders' brutal attacks. If it weren't for that, Karol Jokl could have achieved even more. His football thinking was very unpredictable and he had a great left foot. Karol Jokl was born in Partizánsko. His father was the league player in SK Baťovany later Šimonovany a Slovak football player won the love of the sport just from him. His son almost daily instilled excellent technique that caught scout Slovan Bratislava in 1963, Karol Jokl in that year as a seventeen year old came to Slovan Bratislava. In the years 1963 - 1975 to play in his jersey 238 league matches and have scored 69 goals. League debut scored Karol Jokl August 18, 1963 at the home turf against Spartak Hradec Kralove. Goal for the first time pushed it in the next duel against Sparta Prague. He played a role in three Slovan Championships (1970, 1974, 1975) and winning the Cup Winners' Cup (PVP), when helped to win Slav 3: 2 of giants FC Barcelona. Representative debut playing for Czechoslovakia experienced when he was 18 years, 2 months and 5 days against Yugoslavia. It was Nov. 3, 1963, at the start of another representative waited almost two years and finally it echoed against Romania at the invitation of coach Mark Joseph. The Czechoslovak national team 27 times he gave 11 goals. He played the 1970 World Cup in Mexico. After leaving the Slav finished with active involvement in the second division Prievidzi. He coached in Brezova in regional championships, led to the second league Senec, coached St. Pölten in the Austrian league. He worked at the Department of Physical Education at the University of Technology in Bratislava. Then in 1994 he returned to Tehelné pole as an assistant coach Dusan Galis and Slovan in the next three years, he became a master of Slovak league. Died suddenly on October 28, 1996 in Bratislava.
